Handmade Cultured Pearl Bracelet with Faceted Rock Crystal Briolette

I love ready-made chain, but sometimes it’s lovely to hand-craft a piece of jewellery using nothing more than a length of wire, pearls and some tools. It takes a lot of time and concentration, but it’s also very satisfying.

It’s also nice to know that you’re using all-precious materials to make something. This bracelet uses solid .925 silver, freshwater cultured pearls and a gorgeous little rock crystal dangle. It’s softly faceted to catch the light and makes for a cute little dangle to play with.

The clasp is from Bali and is made of solid silver. I was lucky enough to go and pick this clasp up, as part of an order, in Indonesia last year. Well we all have those boring business trips we are obliged to go on!

Cultivated Freshwater Pearl Necklace

This necklace is reminiscent of antique style pieces, but has been updated with a subtle amount of sparkle thanks to Swarovski’s champagne coloured crystals.

This version uses the Crystal Silver Shade crystals which have a gorgeous sparkle.

Perfect for an understated look, or coordinating with a theme or gown with a vintage-style feel.

Here’s a pretty thing- little pendant necklace and matching earrings.

Ideally the bridemaids should be wearing something that matchines but that doesn’t overshadow the bride’s jewellery. PLus if it’s not “wedding-y” then it makes a nice little keepsake gift that can actually be worn afterwards.

I wasn’t so much thinking of Picky Bride here so much as Diverse Bridesmaids.

When you’re trying to achieve a harmonious look sometimes all it takes is a little detail, like the earrings, to help pull it all together in a subtle way.

Many Shades of Golden

My my, “Charlotte” went and got herself a few new shades! She started off in a very prim and proper ivory shade, but recently has been seen in Bronze, Chocolate and now Platinum!

Over the next few days I’ll be adding in these luscious new shades to my handmade jewellery shop- perfect for harmonising a look amongst the ladies in your bridal party while keeping enough variet in the shades and styles to keep everyone happy!
